Recovery Survival Network (RSN) is a California 501 (c)(3) non-profit that has been providing critically needed services to low-income families and at risk youth since 1995 www.rsn2000.org.
Do to the current state of the economy nationwide; non-profit agencies are losing funding that once helped them provide services like: job training, job placement and substance abuse services to our communities. The time for creative funding sources has never been more important than it is now. We have put together a brand new community based magazine called The Police & Sheriff Reporter “The eyes & ears of the community”. We will sell tax-deductible advertising and sponsor listings and use some of the funds to disseminate educational literature about drug & alcohol addiction & treatment options and the importance of practicing safe sex to reduce sexually transmitted diseases. A portion of the proceeds will help support non-profit agencies, after school programs, and to support drug education and rehabilitation programs targeting the “Hard to Serve” populations including, chronic substance abusers and people re-entering society from the criminal justice system. |
Some of the proceeds from advertising revenues will help build a positive interaction between law enforcement, youth and the community. Rehabilitation is critical to the survival of many urban neighborhoods where drugs and crime rates are highest.
Through building a relationship between law enforcement & the community we believe there will be a significant overall reduction in violent crimes. We will feature different law enforcement professionals who not only risk their lives to make our communities safer but they go the extra mile to be role models in the neighborhoods they protect & serve.
